In the name of Allah, I rely upon Allah. And there is no might nor power except with Allah. O Allah, I ask You for the best entrance and the best exit. By Your name, my Lord, I seek refuge, and by You, I protect myself. O Allah, make it a home of peace, security, and tranquility.

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "When a man enters his house and mentions Allah the Mighty and Majestic at the time of his entering and at the time of his eating, Satan says: 'You have no place to spend the night and no food.' When he enters and does not mention Allah the Mighty and Majestic at the time of his entering, Satan says: 'You have found a place to spend the night.' When he does not mention Allah the Mighty and Majestic at the time of his eating, Satan says: 'You have found a place to spend the night and food.'" (Sunan Ibn Majah 3896, graded Hasan by its verifiers. Also narrated in Abu Dawud 5097 with similar wording). While this hadith focuses on mentioning Allah's name, other narrations specify the dua to be recited. The combined essence is to invoke Allah's name and seek His protection and sustenance upon entering and eating.
