Narrated by Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'When a man leaves his house and says: 'Bismillahi tawakkaltu 'alallahi, la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah, and there is no power nor strength except with Allah), it is said to him: 'You are guided, you are defended, and you are rid of.' So the devil keeps away from him.' And another part of the narration states: 'Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'alallahi Rabbina tawakkalna' (In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and in Allah our Lord we place our trust).
