Narrated by Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'When any one of you enters his house, he should say: Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Rabbina tawakkalna.' (In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we exit, and in Allah, our Lord, we place our trust.) Another narration: 'When a man enters his house and remembers Allah the Mighty and Majestic at the time of his entry and at the time of his food, Satan says: 'You have no place to pass the night and no food.' When he enters and does not remember Allah the Mighty and Majestic at the time of his entry, Satan says: 'You have found a place to pass the night.' When he does not remember Him at the time of his food, Satan says: 'You have found a place to pass the night and food.'
