In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and in Allah, our Lord, we place our trust.

Virtues & Benefits

Reciting this dua invokes Allah's presence and protection within your home. It signifies a submission to His will and a reliance on Him for all affairs, big and small. Source & Authentication

Narrated by Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'When a man enters his house and remembers Allah the Almighty at the time of his entry and at the time of his eating, then Satan says: 'You have no place to pass the night and no dinner.' When he enters and does not remember Allah the Almighty at the time of his entry, Satan says: 'You have found a place to pass the night.' When he does not remember Him at the time of his eating, Satan says: 'You have found a place to pass the night and dinner.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 3764). The wording used here is a variation found in other narrations that signify seeking Allah's name for both entering and leaving, and reliance upon Him.
