بِسْمِ اللهِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

In the name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from all evils and all evil spirits (or devils).

Bismillah, Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-khubuthi wal-khaba'ith.

When to Read

This dua should be recited just before entering the bathroom or toilet area. It's a simple yet profound practice to invoke Allah's name and seek His protection before engaging in an activity that is physically necessary but spiritually sensitive.

How to Read

Recite this dua audibly or silently as you approach the entrance of the bathroom. Begin with 'Bismillah' (In the name of Allah), acknowledging His presence and seeking His blessing in all matters. Then, follow with the supplication for refuge from malevolent forces.

Virtues & Benefits

Reciting this dua is a Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It protects us from the harmful influences and unseen evils that are often associated with places of impurity.
