O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, and from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa fuj'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal.

Virtues & Benefits
This dua directly addresses seeking refuge from the loss of blessings ('zawali ni'matik') which gambling and reckless ventures can lead to. It also seeks protection from distress and sorrow ('al-hammi wal-hazani'), common outcomes of financial ruin. The plea against 'the burden of debt and the overpowering of men' ('ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal') is particularly relevant as these are frequent consequences of losing oneself in gambling and risky investments. By reciting this, we actively engage Allah in safeguarding our finances, our peace, and our overall well-being from destructive paths.
