O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the decline of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from destruction [by building collapsing], from being thrown from a height, from drowning, from burning, from extreme old age, and I seek refuge in You from being tormented by Shaytan at the time of death, and from dying in Your cause while turning my back, and I seek refuge in You from dying from a venomous bite.

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach them [i.e., the Companions] to seek refuge in Allah from the evil of their affairs, and to say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the decline of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from destruction, from being thrown from a height, from drowning, from burning, from extreme old age, and I seek refuge in You from being tormented by Shaytan at the time of death, and from dying in Your cause while turning my back, and I seek refuge in You from dying from a venomous bite.'
