Dua for Seeking Refuge from the Evils of the Day and Night

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq

When to Read

How to Read

Recite this dua three times in the morning after Fajr prayer and three times in the evening before Maghrib prayer. It's best to recite it with sincerity and a firm belief in Allah's protection, visualizing His words as a protective fortress around you.

Abu Huraira reported: A man came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what a difficult night I had last night!" He said, "What happened?" He said, "I was stung by a scorpion." He said, "As for the evening, you should have said: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created (A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq)."
