O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment on me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or that You have kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the remover of my worries. And make them (my worries) removed, O Allah, from me.
Allahumma inni 'abduka, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatika, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka, sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitadika, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilmil ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi, wa lakin adzhibhu Allahumma 'anni.
