O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present and those who are absent, our young and our old, our males and our females. O Allah, whoever You keep alive among us, keep him alive on Islam, and whoever You cause to die, cause him to die on faith. O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward, and do not lead us astray after him.
Allahumma-ghfir li hayyina wa mayyitina, wa shahidinā wa gha'ibinā, wa saghīrinā wa kabīrinā, wa dhakarinā wa unthānā. Allahumma man aḥyaytahu minnā fa-aḥyihi 'ala al-Islam, wa man tawaffaytahu minnā fa-tawaffahu 'ala al-iman.

Source & Authentication
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: an ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, or a righteous child who prays for him.' [Sahih Muslim 1631]. The dua taught by the Prophet ﷺ (as in the main entry) is a direct way to fulfill the prayer for the deceased. Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O people, Allah has commanded me to give you instruction, so you should seek instruction in three matters and keep them in your hearts with regard to yourselves and with regard to the general Muslims...'. Then he narrated the dua: 'Allahumma-ghfir li hayyina wa mayyitina...' [Sahih Muslim 585].
