Deceased
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 963

O Allah, forgive him/her, have mercy on him/her, grant him/her well-being, and pardon him/her. Make his/her resting place honorable and his/her grave spacious. Wash him/her with water, snow, and hail. Purify him/her from sins just as a white garment is purified from dirt. Replace his/her worldly home with a better home, his/her family with a better family, and his/her spouse with a better spouse. Enter him/her into Paradise and protect him/her from the torment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.

Narrated 'Auf bin Malik Al-Ashja'i: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led the funeral prayer. I remember his supplication as he was saying: "O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, and grant him well-being, and forgive his sins. O Allah, let his grave be spacious, and shed light upon him in it. O Allah, make him rest in comfort, and keep him safe from the torment of the grave, and grant him a better dwelling than his dwelling (in this world), and a family better than his family, and let him enter Paradise, and protect him from the trial of the grave and the torment of the Fire." He said: "And [mentioning] his grave's spaciousness, and his entry into Paradise, and Allah's protection from the trial of the grave and the torment of the Fire."
