اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ، وَعَافِهِ، وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ، وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ، وَنَقِّهِ مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَارًا خَيْرًا مِنْ دَارِهِ، وَأَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، وَزَوْجًا خَيْرًا مِنْ زَوْجِهِ، وَأَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَأَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ
O Allah, forgive him/her and have mercy on him/her, grant him/her well-being, pardon him/her, honor his/her reception, make his/her grave spacious, wash him/her with water, snow, and hail. Purify him/her from sins as a white garment is purified from dirt. Grant him/her a home better than his/her home, a family better than his/her family, and a spouse better than his/her spouse. Enter him/her into Paradise and protect him/her from the torment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.

It was narrated from 'Awf ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed over a funeral, and I remembered his supplication while he was saying: 'Allahumma-ghfir lahu wa-rhamhu, wa 'afihi, wa'fu 'anhu, wa akrim nuzulahu, wa wassi' madkhalahu, wa-ghsilhu bil-ma'i wath-thalji wal-baradi, wa naqqihi minal-khataaya kama yunaqqa ath-thawbu al-abyadu minad-danasi, wa abdilhu daran khayran min daarih, wa ahlan khayran min ahlih, wa zawjan khayran min zawcih, wa adkhilhul-jannata, wa a'idhhu min 'adhabi al-qabri, wa min 'adhabin-nar.'
