O Allah, forgive [name], have mercy on him, grant him well-being, and pardon him. Honor his reception, make his grave spacious, and cleanse him with water, snow, and hail. Purify him from sins just as a white garment is purified from dirt. Exchange his home for a better home, his family for a better family, and his spouse for a better spouse. Admit him into Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.
Allahumma-ghfir li [name] war-hamhu wa 'aafihi wa'fu 'anhu, wa akrim nuzulahu wa wassi' madkhalahu, waghsilhu bil-maa'i wath-thalji wal-baradi, wa naqqihi minal-khataaya kamaa yunqqath-thawbul-abyadu minad-danasi, wa abdilhu daaran khayran min daarihi, wa ahlan khayran min ahlihi, wa zawjan khayran min zawjihi, wa adkhilhul-jannata wa a'idhu min 'adhaabil-qabri, wa min 'adhaabin-naar.

It was narrated from `Awf bin Malik Al-Ashja'i that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led the funeral prayer and he would say when he stood up: 'O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, grant him security and pardon him, honor his reception and make his grave spacious. O Allah, cleanse him with water, snow, and hail, and cleanse him from sins as a white garment is cleansed from dirt. O Allah, grant him a home better than his home, and a family better than his family, and a spouse better than his spouse. O Allah, admit him to Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave' or 'from the punishment of the Fire.' `Awf bin Malik said: 'And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, why do you laugh?' He said: 'I have just heard a Du'a that a servant said. When it was his family who brought him the burdens and the fine clothes, and he said: 'O Allah, I ask You that his reception be honored.' And the Prophet ﷺ said: 'O Allah, admit him to Paradise.'
