O Allah, forgive [Name of the deceased], have mercy on him, grant him well-being, pardon him, honor his reception, make his grave spacious, wash him with water, snow, and hail. Purify him from sins as a white garment is purified from dirt. Give him a home better than his former home, a family better than his former family, and a spouse better than his former spouse. Admit him to Paradise, and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.
Allahumma-ghfir li fulan, wa-rhamhu, wa-'afihi, wa-'fu 'anhu, wa-akrim nuzulahu, wa-wassi' madkhalahu, wa-ghsilhu bil-ma'i wath-thalji wal-baradi, wa-naqqihi minal-khataya kama yunaqqa ath-thawbul-abyadu min ad-danasi, wa-abdilhu daran khayran min darihi, wa-ahlan khayran min ahlihi, wa-zawjan khayran min zawjihi, wa-adkhilhul-jannata, wa-a'idhhu min 'adhabi al-qabri wa-'adhabi an-nar.

Narrated by Awf ibn Malik al-Ashja'i: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led the funeral prayer over a dead person and I memorized from his supplication while he was saying: 'O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, and grant him safety, and pardon him, and honor his reception, and make his grave spacious, and wash him with water and snow and hail, and cleanse him from his sins as Thou hast cleansed a white garment from dirt, and give him a home better than his home, and a family better than his family, and admit him to Paradise, and guard him against the trial of the grave and torment of the hell-fire.' He said: 'And (I memorized) thus was my supplication when he died.' (Sahih Muslim 963)
