Dua for a Deceased Person Known for Extravagance

Deceased
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 963

O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, and pardon him and make his resting place honorable, and make his entrance spacious. Wash him with water and snow and hail. Cleanse him from sins as a white garment is cleansed from dirt. And give him a house better than his house, and a family better than his family, and a spouse better than his spouse. And admit him to Paradise, and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.

Allahumma-ghfir lahu war-hamhu wa 'afihi wa'fu 'anhu, wa akrim nuzulahu wa wassi' madkhalahu, waghsilhu bil-ma'i wath-thalji wal-baradi, wa naqqihi minal-khataaya kama naqqayta-thawbal-abyada minad-danasi. Wa abdilhu daaran khayran min daarih, wa ahlan khayran min ahlih, wa zawjan khayran min zawjih. Wa adkhilhul-jannata, wa a'idh-hu min 'adhab-il-qabri wa min 'adhab-in-naar.
