It's excellent to recite in the morning after Fajr prayer, as it encompasses seeking beneficial knowledge, pure sustenance, and acceptance of one's actions. For a freelancer, this means asking for skills that benefit clients, fair compensation, and work that is done with sincerity and excellence, pleasing to Allah.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction. Raise your hands, though it's not strictly required for every dua. Focus on the meaning of each phrase: asking for knowledge that truly helps, provision that is lawful and good, and work that is accepted by Allah. It's a comprehensive request for overall well-being in one's professional life.

Virtues & Benefits

This supplication is a powerful way to seek Allah's blessing in all aspects of one's work and life. * **Beneficial Knowledge ('ilman nafi'an):** This is crucial for freelancers who need to constantly learn and adapt to market demands, improving their skills and offering better services. * **Goodly Provision (rizqan tayyiban):** This asks for sustenance that is not only sufficient but also pure, lawful, and free from any dubious earnings, a key concern for self-employed individuals. * **Accepted Deeds ('amalan mutaqabbalan):** This encompasses the work itself. It's a plea that the effort put into projects, the interactions with clients, and the overall professional conduct are done with sincerity and meet Allah's standards, leading to reward in this life and the next. This dua was taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) as a daily supplication, highlighting its immense importance for a balanced and blessed life.
