اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى.

O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency.

Allahumma inni as'alukal-huda wat-tuqa wal-'afafa wal-ghina.

When to Read

This powerful dua is perfect for reciting at any time, especially when you feel the weight of business decisions pressing down, or when faced with opportunities that might compromise your integrity. Make it a habit to say it after each prayer, or during moments of quiet reflection, particularly in the morning to set your intentions for the day.

How to Read

Raise your hands in supplication as you would for any other dua. Focus your heart on Allah, the Most High, and sincerely ask Him for these crucial qualities. Utter the words with conviction, visualizing yourself guided, pious, chaste, and content in your dealings. The intention behind the dua is as important as the words themselves.

Virtues & Benefits

This comprehensive supplication covers the essential elements for maintaining uprightness in all aspects of life, including business. * **Guidance (Huda):** Seeking guidance ensures you make choices that align with Allah's pleasure and Islamic principles. * **Piety (Tuqa):** This encompasses consciousness of Allah, leading to vigilance against sin and a desire to do good. * **Chastity/Self-Sufficiency ('Afafa):** In a business context, this means abstaining from unlawful gains, avoiding reliance on questionable means, and maintaining purity in your transactions and character. * **Self-Sufficiency/Contentment (Ghina):** This asks Allah to make you content with what He has provided, reducing the temptation to seek wealth through illicit or unethical means.
