Virtues & Benefits

Reciting this dua bestows immense blessings and protection. It is reported by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'When a person goes out of his house saying: 'Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah,' it will be said to him: 'You are guided, defended and your need is met.' And the Satan will move away from him. Another Satan will say to him: 'How can you get to (the one whom you have decided to deal with)?' when he has already been guided.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5095). This means Allah provides guidance, protection, and fulfills your needs when you begin with His name and acknowledge His power.
