Recite it with sincerity before commencing your business activities, or upon opening your shop, or when engaging in significant transactions.

How to Read

Recite this dua with heartfelt sincerity and conviction. Raise your hands as you make dua if possible, facing the Qiblah. Speak with clarity and focus on the meaning. Imagine Allah's blessings flowing into your trade and livelihood. It is ideal to make this dua yourself as the business owner, but you can also ask a righteous person to make it for you.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua is a direct supplication taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, asking Allah for 'barakah' (blessing, increase, abundance) in one's trade. Barakah from Allah is what makes a small amount suffice, brings ease to transactions, and grants contentment. It ensures that the provision is pure and beneficial. Seeking Allah's blessing in business is a way to align one's worldly efforts with divine favour, transforming mere profit into a source of spiritual and material well-being.

Source & Authentication

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When you come to a settlement (i.e., a town or market) and stay there, then supplicate for its blessing. He would supplicate for Madinah in these words: 'O Allah, bless their measures, and bless their measures of Sa' and Mudd, and bless their trade.'
