Narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, what have you encountered in this night? He said: I have been stung by a scorpion. And he said: May Allah not grant you success. And he said: It was not the case, but you have recited these words of supplication in the evening: 'A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq' (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created), and nothing could harm you for that night. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) told him to recite them in the morning and in the evening. (Sahih Muslim 2708)
