O Allah, unite our hearts, mend the ties between us, guide us to the paths of peace, deliver us from darkness to light, keep us away from all evil deeds, outward and inward, and bless our hearing, our sight, our hearts, our spouses, and our offspring. Accept our repentance, for indeed You are the Ever-Relenting, the Most Merciful.
Allahumma allif bayna qulubina, wa aslih dhata baynina, wahdina subulas-salam, wa najjina minadh-dhulumati ilan-nur, wa jannibnal-fawāḥisha ma ẓahara minha wa ma baṭan, wa barik lana fi asma'ina, wa abṣarina, wa qulubina, wa azwajina, wa dhurriyyatina, wa tub 'alayna, innaka Antat-Tawwabur-Raḥim.
When to Read
This comprehensive dua is perfect for reciting after completing your obligatory prayers (Fardh salah). It's a powerful moment when your heart is still connected to Allah, making it an opportune time to ask for blessings on your marriage and family.
How to Read
After you finish the taslim (saying 'As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah' to your right and left), remain seated in the place of your prayer. Raise your hands (as you would for any supplication) and recite this dua with sincerity and focus. Remember that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to be specific in our supplications, so while this is a beautiful comprehensive dua, you can also add your own personal requests for your spouse and children.
