اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan
When to Read
This dua is recommended to be recited immediately after concluding the obligatory prayers (Salat). It's a powerful moment when your heart is most connected to Allah, and you can humbly ask for the best in this life and the next.
How to Read
Recite this dua sincerely after finishing your prayer, ideally immediately after saying the final Taslim (saying 'Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah' on both sides). Raise your hands if you feel inclined, as is the general etiquette for making dua. Focus on the meaning of each request.
Virtues & Benefits
This supplication encompasses three vital pillars for a fulfilling life as a believer. Asking for 'beneficial knowledge' ('ilman nafi'an) means knowledge that guides you, increases your Taqwa (God-consciousness), and enables you to worship Allah correctly. 'Goodly provision' (rizqan tayyiban) is not just about wealth, but about provision that is lawful, pure, and brings ease to your life. 'Acceptable deeds' ('amalan mutaqabbalan) refers to acts of worship that Allah accepts, which requires sincerity and adherence to the Sunnah. This comprehensive request ensures you are seeking all-around well-being.
