Virtues & Benefits
This supplication directly asks Allah for assistance in three crucial areas that underpin a Muslim's life: remembrance (dhikr), gratitude (shukr), and excellent worship (husn 'ibadah). By mastering these, we are better equipped to fulfill our promises to Allah and to His creation, and to meet the rights (huquq) that others have upon us, whether they are rights of family, neighbors, or the community. It's a comprehensive request for divine support in living a life pleasing to Allah.

Narrated Mu'adh ibn Jabal: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took hold of my hand and said, "O Mu'adh, by Allah, I love you and say, 'O Allah, help me against Satan and against my desires.' He then said, 'O Mu'adh, pray the prayer of those who bid farewell...' Then he said, 'O Mu'adh, whatever a Muslim does on his own, or if he helps him to do it, or if he guides him to do it, it is incumbent upon him to do that. O Mu'adh, if you can manage not to do any of these things, then do them. And the last thing Mu'adh said was: 'O Allah, I ask You to help me in remembering You, thanking You, and worshipping You in the best manner.'"
