الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبُّنَا.

All praise is for Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, praise that is not insufficient, nor is it bid farewell, nor is it dispensable from our Lord.

Alhamdulillah hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubarakan feehi, ghaira makfiyyin wa la muwadda'in wa la mustaghnan 'anhu Rabbuna.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'When one of you eats something, he should say: 'Alhamdulillah alladhi at'amani hadha wa razaqaneehi min ghairi hawlin minni wa la quwwatin' (All praise is for Allah Who fed me this and provided it for me without any effort on my part nor any power). And when he finishes eating, he should say: 'Alhamdulillah hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubarakan feehi, ghaira makfiyyin wa la muwadda'in wa la mustaghnan 'anhu Rabbuna.' (All praise is for Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, praise that is not insufficient, nor is it bid farewell, nor is it dispensable from our Lord.)
