الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبُّنَا
Praise be to Allah, much praise, good and blessed praise. [We praise Him] in a way that is sufficient, and not [to be] left behind, and not to be dispensed with, our Lord.

Narrated Abu Umamah: The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked: 'What is the best invocation?' He said: 'The invocation of the servant of Allah: 'O Allah! I ask You for (all that is good) in this world and the Hereafter, and that which is pleasing to You; and I ask You for the best of that which I know and the best of that which I do not know, and I seek refuge with You from the worst of that which I know and the worst of that which I do not know, and I seek refuge with You from all evil, and I ask You to make for me the best of what is hidden from me. O Allah! Make me pleased with Your decree, and grant me blessings in what is appointed for me, so that I may not love to hasten what You have delayed, nor to delay what You have hastened.' Then he was asked: 'What is the best of deeds?' He said: 'It is the preoccupation with the remembrance of Allah and the good supplication.' Then he was asked: 'What is the best way for the servant to greet his companions?' He said: 'The best of greetings is for Allah (i.e., Islamic greeting).' Then he was asked: 'What is the best way to supplicate?' He said: 'The supplication of the servant of Allah: 'Praise be to Allah, much praise, good and blessed praise. [We praise Him] in a way that is sufficient, and not [to be] left behind, and not to be dispensed with, our Lord.'' And he said: 'The angels descend with (this type of) revelation for a servant of Allah who has eaten food and said: 'Praise be to Allah, much praise, good and blessed praise. [We praise Him] in a way that is sufficient, and not [to be] left behind, and not to be dispensed with, our Lord.' And Allah is pleased with them.'
