O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the fading of Your blessings, the reversal of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that angers You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from destruction, drowning, burning, and extreme old age. I seek refuge in You from being tormented by Satan at the time of death. I seek refuge in You from dying in Your cause while turning my back (in retreat). I seek refuge in You from dying from a poisonous bite. O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne, be a neighbor for me against this harm and all harm. And subjugate for me Your creation, so that none may have any path against me, except he whose path is against You; then You will be sufficient for me. O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne, suffice me against this harm as You wish.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa faja'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal hadmi, wal gharaqi, wal haraqi, wal harami. Wa a'udhu bika min an yatakhabbatani-sh-shaytanu 'indal maut. Wa a'udhu bika an amuta fi sabilika mudbira. Wa a'udhu bika an amuta ladigha. Allahumma Rabba-s-samawati-s-sab', wa Rabba-l-'arshil 'adhim. Kun li jaran min hadha-sh-sharri, wa min-ash-sharri kullih. Wa sakhkhir li 'ibadak, hatta la yakuna li ahadin 'alayya sabil, illa man sabiluhu 'alayk, fa yakfiniyyaka. Allahumma Rabba-s-samawati-s-sab', wa Rabba-l-'arshil 'adhim. Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to teach them, when they were with him, the following words as a protection against the heat of hell and against the torment of the Day of Judgment: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa faja'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal hadmi, wal gharaqi, wal haraqi, wal harami. Wa a'udhu bika min an yatakhabbatani-sh-shaytanu 'indal maut. Wa a'udhu bika an amuta fi sabilika mudbira. Wa a'udhu bika an amuta ladigha. And when it rained, he would say: 'Allahumma sayyiban nafi'an' (O Allah, a beneficial rain shower). And he would say: 'Allahumma Rabba-s-samawati-s-sab', wa Rabba-l-'arshil 'adhim. Kun li jaran min hadha-sh-sharri, wa min-ash-sharri kullih. Wa sakhkhir li 'ibadak, hatta la yakuna li ahadin 'alayya sabil, illa man sabiluhu 'alayk, fa yakfiniyyaka. Allahumma Rabba-s-samawati-s-sab', wa Rabba-l-'arshil 'adhim.
