Reciting this when you see birds, or any aspect of nature that inspires awe, allows you to connect with Allah's greatness and humbly ask for His grace.
How to Read
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that when we witness something astonishing or beautiful in Allah's creation, we should glorify Him and praise Him. This dua combines that glorious remembrance ('Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi') with a direct, humble plea for Allah's grace ('Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik'). Say it with sincerity, letting the sight before you deepen your connection to the One who created it all. It can be said aloud or silently, with your heart focused on Allah.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua is a profound expression of Tawhid (Oneness of Allah) and dependence on Him. By glorifying Allah for His creation, you acknowledge His power and magnificence. Asking for His bounty directly links your awe of His creation to a desire for His blessings in your own life. The Prophet ﷺ himself would often recite this when surprised or pleased by something, showing us the beautiful practice of turning every experience into an opportunity for remembrance and supplication.
