الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا الثَّوْبَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to wear a new garment, he would mention its name (e.g., a shirt or a turban) and then say: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَفَانِي وَآوَانِي وَأَرْوَانِي وَمِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ أَعْطَانِي - (All praise is due to Allah Who sufficed me and gave me shelter, and Who satisfied my thirst and satiated me, and to Whom is every bounty from all good things). Then he would say: A'udhu billahi min sharri ma sun'a wa min sharri ma'yusna. (I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of what has been made and from the evil of what has not been made). And when he wore a new shirt, he would say: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا الثَّوْبَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ (All praise is due to Allah Who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me without any strength or power on my part).
