Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: When Allah's Messenger ﷺ used to wear a new garment, he would mention its name (e.g., a shirt or a cloak) and then say: (All praise is due to Allah Who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me without any strength or power on my part). [Sunan Abi Dawud 4023, graded Hasan by Al-Albani]. The version in Sunan At-Tirmidhi 1767 is similar: Narrated Mu'adh bin Anas: The Prophet ﷺ said: 'If any of you puts on a garment and says: (All praise is due to Allah Who has clothed me with this and protected me...) then all his past sins are forgiven.'
