الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا الثَّوْبَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ
All praise is due to Allah, Who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me, without any power or strength on my part.

Virtues & Benefits
This dua is profound. By reciting it, you're not just thanking Allah for the clothing itself, but for His provision and the ability to wear it. It implicitly guards you against vanity or arrogance that might arise from appearance. It also serves as a reminder that our strength and means are from Him, fostering humility and preventing us from attributing our blessings to our own efforts, which can lead to spiritual heedlessness and disobedience. It's a shield against the pride that can sometimes accompany outward adornment.
Source & Authentication
Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wore a new garment, he would mention its name, be it a shirt or a turban, and then say: 'O Allah, You have dressed me with (this garment), I ask You for its good and the good of what it was made for, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for.' Then he would say: 'Alhamdulillahilladhi kasani hadha-th-thawba wa razaqanihi min ghairi hawlin minni wa la quwwatin.' (All praise is due to Allah, Who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me, without any power or strength on my part.)
