The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'When you wake up, say: 'Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyaana ba'da ma amaatana wa ilaihin-nushoor.' (All praise is for Allah, who brought us back to life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection). And when you go to sleep, say: 'Allahumma bismika ahya wa amoot.' (O Allah, with Your name I live and die). And when you wake up, say: 'Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyaana ba'da ma amaatana wa ilaihin-nushoor.'
