Narrated Hudhaifa: Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) got up for night prayer, he would say: 'Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika, wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta'ala jadduka, wa jalla thana'uka. La ilaha ghiruk.' (Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You! Blessed be Your name, and exalted be Your majesty! There is no god but You.) When he broke his fast after sunset, he would say: 'Dhahaba-dh-dhama'u, wabtallat-il-'uruqu, wa thabat-al-ajru insha-Allah.' (Thirst is gone, the veins are irrigated and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.) And when he woke up, he would say: 'Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyaana ba'da ma amatana, wal-nushuri.' (All praise is for Allah Who gave us life after death, and to Him is the resurrection.)
