Waking Up
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 1153

All praise is due to Allah, Who gave us life after death, and to Him is the return. O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds. O Allah, forgive me, my parents, and all Muslims on the Day when the judgment will take place.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan. Allahumma ighfir li wa liwalidayya wa lilmuslimeena yawma yaqoomul hisaab.

And he would say: 'The children of Israel (or the Ummah of Bani Israel) narrated and it was said: 'What is the meaning of this?' And when he would get up (from sleep) he would recite: 'Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyaana ba'da ma amaatana wa ilahin-nushoor' (All praise is due to Allah, Who gave us life after death, and to Him is the return).
