Narrated Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet ﷺ, when he got up for the night (to pray), used to say: 'Allah is the Greatest! All praise is due to Allah. Glory be to Allah and praise be to Allah. There is no god but Allah. Allah is the Greatest. (And then say:) I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan.' (And then he would add:) 'I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of this world and the evil of the accursed Satan.' He would then proceed (to pray) for the rest of the night, and he would do so three times. And when he got up in the morning, he used to say: 'All praise is due to Allah who restored me to life after causing me to die, and to Him is the return.'
