Source & Authentication

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'When one of you wakes up, he should say: Al-hamdu lillahilladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilaihin-nushur (All praise is for Allah Who brought us back to life after causing us to die, and to Him is the final return). And if one of us sleeps and wakes up with apprehension, he should say: Al-hamdu lillahilladhi 'aafaani fi jasadi wa radda 'alayya roohi wa 'adhana li bi dhikrihi (All praise is for Allah Who granted me health in my body, returned my soul to me, and allowed me to remember Him).'
