The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to say, when he woke up: Alhamdulillahilladhi ahyaana ba'da ma amaatana wa ilaihin-nushoor. (All praise is due to Allah, Who brought us back to life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection). - Sahih al-Bukhari 6306. Other narrations mention: He would say: 'La ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil-'aliyyil-'azim. Rabbi ighfir li.' (There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and to Him belongs praise, and He is over all things competent. Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, and there is no might nor power except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. My Lord, forgive me.). This indicates the richness of the Sunnah in guiding us through our daily routines with remembrance of Allah.
