When to Read
Immediately upon waking up from sleep.
How to Read
This is the general dua taught by the Prophet ﷺ for waking up. While it doesn't specifically mention love for him, the act of remembering Allah upon waking is the foundation. To cultivate love and reverence for the Prophet ﷺ, one should follow this with reflections on his Sunnah and making dua for his intercession.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encompasses gratitude for the gift of life and a reminder of our accountability to Allah. By reflecting on this, we acknowledge Allah's power and our dependence on Him. This act of remembrance sets a positive tone for the day, fostering a sense of peace and purpose. Cultivating gratitude for life, given through Allah's mercy, naturally leads to a deeper appreciation for the messenger ﷺ through whom this Deen was conveyed.
