Source & Authentication

Narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her): She said, 'Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) got up in the morning, he would say: 'Glory be to Allah! I am amazed at Your glory. O my Lord, I ask You in the name of Your glory to be pleased with me today.' He would say it three times. When he awoke and looked at the sky, he would say: 'O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Lord of everything and its Possessor, I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of myself and from the evil of Shaitan and his associates.' And he would say: 'O Allah, grant me sustenance for my body, grant me hearing, grant me sight, for no one grants sustenance but You.' And he would say: 'O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.' (Umm Salamah also reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say this dua after Fajr prayer as well.)
