Hasan HadithSunan At-Tirmidhi 3391

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي فِي جَسَدِي، وَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ رُوحِي، وَأَذِنَ لِي بِذِكْرِهِ

All praise is for Allah Who gave me well-being in my body, returned my soul to me, and permitted me to remember Him.

Alhamdulillahilladhi 'afani fi jasadi, wa radda 'alayya ruhi, wa adhina li bidhikrih

Virtues & Benefits

This dua cultivates a deep sense of gratitude for the fundamental blessings we often take for granted: health, life, and the ability to remember Allah. By starting the day with this acknowledgment, we shift our focus from potential difficulties to Allah's encompassing mercy and power. This mindset fosters patience and resilience, allowing us to approach challenges not with dread, but with the strength that comes from recognizing Allah's constant care and provision. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua as a way to thank Allah for the night and to prepare for the day ahead, aligning our intentions with His divine plan.
