الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

All praise is for Allah, Who gave us life after bringing us death, and to Him is the resurrection.

Alḥamdulillāhil-ladhī aḥyānā baʿda mā amātanā wa-ilayhin-nushūr

Narrated by Huzaifah (may Allah be pleased with him): When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) intended to sleep, he would say: 'Bismika amūtu wa aḥyā' (With Your name I die and I live). And when he woke up, he would say: 'Alḥamdulillāhil-ladhī aḥyānā baʿda mā amātanā wa ilayhin-nushūr' (All praise is for Allah, Who gave us life after bringing us death, and to Him is the resurrection).
