الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

All praise is for Allah, who brought us back to life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.

Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyaana ba'da ma amaatanaa wa ilaihin-nushoor

Narrated Hudhaifah: Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) got up for night prayer, he would say: Allahumma laka al-hamd anta qaiyimus-samawati wal-ardhi wa man fihinna, wa laka al-hamd laka mulkus-samawati wal-ardhi wa man fihinna, wa laka al-hamd anta nurus-samawati wal-ardhi wa man fihinna, anta al-haqq wa wa'duka al-haqq wa liqa'uka haqq, wa qauluka haqq, wal-jannatu haqq, wan-naru haqq, wan-nabiyyuna haqq, wa Muhammadun ﷺ haqq, was-sa'atu haqq. Allahumma laka aslamtu, wa bika amantu, wa 'alaika tawakkaltu, wa ilaika anabtu, wa bika khasamtu, wa ilaika hakamtu. Fagfir li ma qaddamtu wa ma akhkhartu, wa ma asrartu wa ma a'lantu, anta ilahi la ilaha illa anta. (Then he would recite the dua for getting up: Alhamdulillahil-ladhi ahyaanaa ba'da ma amaatanaa wa ilaihin-nushoor - All praise is for Allah, who brought us back to life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.)
