الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي فِي جَسَدِي وَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ رُوحِي وَأَذِنَ لِي بِذِكْرِهِ

All praise is for Allah Who restored my health in my body, returned my soul to me, and permitted me to remember Him.

Al-hamdulillah alladhi 'afani fi jasadi wa radda 'alayya ruhi wa adhina li bi dhikrih

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'When any one of you wakes up, let him say: Al-hamdulillah alladhi 'afani fi jasadi wa radda 'alayya ruhi wa adhina li bi dhikrih.' (All praise is for Allah Who restored my health in my body, returned my soul to me, and permitted me to remember Him.) Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Book 27, Hadith 22. (Note: Hadith numbering can vary between editions; 3537 is a common number for this narration in English translations of Tirmidhi). Al-Tirmidhi said: This is a Hasan Hadith. It was also narrated by Al-Bazzar and Ibn Majah with a chain of narration that was not bad.
