اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ عَلَيْنَا فُتُوحَ الْعَارِفِينَ وَلَا تُعْجِزْنَا عِلْمًا وَلَا تَحْرِمْنَا حِكْمَةً وَأَلْهِمْنَا رُشْدَنَا وَعَوِّذْنَا مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا
O Allah, open upon us the openings of those who know, do not make us weak in knowledge, do not deprive us of wisdom, inspire us with our right guidance, and protect us from the evils of our souls.
Allahumma-ftah 'alayna futuh al-'arifeen wa la tu'jizna 'ilman wa la tahrimna hikmatan wa alhimna rushdana wa 'awwidhna min shururi anfusina

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach them this Dua in the same way that he taught them the Quran, saying: 'Allahumma-ftah 'alayna futuh al-'arifeen wa la tu'jizna 'ilman wa la tahrimna hikmatan wa alhimna rushdana wa 'awwidhna min shururi anfusina.'
