O Allah, forgive the Muslim men and Muslim women, and the believing men and believing women, and rectify the situation between them, and unite their hearts, and make [means] subservient to them. O Allah, curse the disbelievers from the People of the Book who turn away from Your path. O Allah, defeat them and shake them. O Allah, inflict upon them Your punishment which You do not turn away from the wrongdoers. Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Allahumma-ghfir lil-muslimeena wal-muslimaati, wal-mu'mineena wal-mu'minaati, wa aslih thaata baynihim, wa allif bayna quloobihim, wa sakhkhir lahum. Allahumma-l'an kafarata ahla-lkitabi alladheena yasuddoona 'an sabeelika. Allahumma-hzimhum wa zalzilhum. Allahumma anzil bihim ba'saka alladhi la tarudduhu 'anil-qawmi-dh-dhaalimeen. Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban-nar.
When to Read
This is a comprehensive dua that can be recited at any time, especially after Salah (obligatory or voluntary) or during personal supplication. It's particularly fitting when one remembers the vulnerable, the elderly, or the oppressed members of the Ummah, and desires their well-being and protection, as well as the correction of their affairs and the defeat of their oppressors.
How to Read
Recite with sincerity and a hopeful heart, focusing on the meaning of the words. Imagine the elderly and vulnerable members of our Ummah, those who are weak, sick, or oppressed, and supplicate for them. Raise your hands as was the practice of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when making dua. Ensure you are in a state of purity if possible, though it is not a strict condition for all supplications.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encompasses a broad range of supplications for the Ummah: seeking forgiveness, reconciliation, unity, and making provisions easy for all believers. It also includes seeking divine intervention against those who oppose Islam and oppress Muslims, asking for their defeat and chastisement. Crucially, it ends with the beautiful and encompassing Quranic dua (Al-Baqarah 2:201) asking for good in this life and the next, and protection from the Fire, thus covering all aspects of well-being for individuals and the Ummah as a whole. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ mentioned that the best of supplications is 'Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.' (Sahih Muslim 2690)

Narrated Abdullah bin Mugaffal: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Supplicate for your Lord and ask Him for His bounty. Indeed, Allah loves that He be asked for His bounty. And the best of supplications is 'Aafiyah (well-being). And the best of worship is abstinence (from the forbidden).' Another version: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) supplicated: 'O Allah, forgive the Muslim men and Muslim women, and the believing men and believing women, and rectify the situation between them, and unite their hearts, and make [means] subservient to them. O Allah, curse the disbelievers from the People of the Book who turn away from Your path. O Allah, defeat them and shake them. O Allah, inflict upon them Your punishment which You do not turn away from the wrongdoers. O Allah, our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.' Sunan Abi Dawud 993
