Dua for the Liberation of Occupied Muslim Lands

For the Ummah
Sahih HadithSahih al-Bukhari 4104

O Allah, Revealer of the Book, Swift in Account, defeat the confederates! O Allah, defeat them and shake them!

Allahumma munzila al-kitabi, sari'a al-hisabi, ihzim al-ahzab. Allahumma ihzimhum wa zalzilhum.

When to Read

This powerful dua is particularly poignant during times of oppression and when Muslim lands are under occupation. It's a supplication to be made with conviction when seeking divine intervention for the freedom and protection of our brothers and sisters facing hardship. Recite it after prayers, during times of ease, and especially in moments of deep concern for the Ummah.

How to Read

Recite this dua with a sincere heart and unwavering faith in Allah's power to grant victory. Raise your hands in supplication, facing the Qiblah if possible, and beseech Allah in earnest. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this specific phrasing when he faced a dire situation, so its recitation is a direct emulation of his Sunnah in seeking aid during trials.

Virtues & Benefits

This supplication is a direct plea for Allah's assistance against overwhelming odds, as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ during the Battle of the Trench. It reflects our reliance on Allah when facing formidable enemies and unjust occupation. By reciting it, we acknowledge that true power and victory come only from Him, seeking His decisive intervention to bring about justice and liberation for oppressed Muslims.
