Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel
When to Read
This powerful declaration is what Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) said when he was thrown into the fire, and it is what Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said when the people of Makkah gathered against him. It is the ultimate expression of reliance on Allah when facing overwhelming opposition, plots, or injustice. For a Muslim woman facing hardship, betrayal, or unfair treatment, reciting this phrase with sincere belief can bring immense comfort and a reminder that no matter how powerful the oppressor, Allah's power is supreme and His justice is absolute.
How to Read
Recite this sincerely from the heart, understanding its profound meaning. It is not merely words, but a deep trust placed in Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala). You can say it repeatedly during times of distress, or as a constant supplication in your daily prayers. Feel the weight of the injustice, and then actively transfer the burden to Allah, knowing He is the ultimate Protector and Judge.
Virtues & Benefits
This statement is a bedrock of faith, reflecting complete Tawakkul (reliance on Allah). By declaring 'Hasbunallah wa ni'mal wakeel,' we acknowledge Allah's omnipotence and wisdom, surrendering our affairs to Him. The Prophet ﷺ also taught that whoever says this seven times in the morning will be protected from any harm that may come their way that day. This protection extends beyond physical harm, encompassing emotional and spiritual trials as well, including the vindication from injustice. Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) says in the Quran: '...And whoever relies upon Allah - He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has made for everything a decreed extent.' (Surah At-Talaq, 65:3).

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The last statement of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was thrown into the fire was: 'Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 4563). Also, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said when the armies of the polytheists gathered against him: 'Verily, the people have gathered against you, so fear them.' But it increased them in faith, and they said: 'Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 4564)
