Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 1342

Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And to our Lord we are indeed to return. O Allah, we ask You for righteousness and piety in our journey, and in our deeds that which is pleasing to You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and make its distance short for us. O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Successor in the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of the journey, the sorrow of seeing [an evil sight], and the evil time of return in wealth and family.

Subhanalladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinina wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqalibun. Allahumma inna nas'aluka fi safarina hadha al-birra wat-taqwa, wa minal 'amali ma tarda. Allahumma hawwin 'alayna safarana hadha, watwi lana bu'dahu. Allahumma Antas-sahibu fis-safari wal-khalifatu fil-ahli. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min wa'tha'is-safari wa ka'abatil-mandhari wa su'il-munqalabi fil-mali wal-ahli.

Source & Authentication

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) set out on a journey and mounted his she-camel, he would glorify Allah (saying Subhan Allah) three times and then say: Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And to our Lord we are indeed to return. Then he would say: Allahumma inna nas'aluka fi safarina hadha al-birra wat-taqwa, wa minal 'amali ma tarda. Allahumma hawwin 'alayna safarana hadha, watwi lana bu'dahu. Allahumma Antas-sahibu fis-safari wal-khalifatu fil-ahli. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min wa'tha'is-safari wa ka'abatil-mandhari wa su'il-munqalabi fil-mali wal-ahli. And when he returned, he would say these words too, and say: Akribuna, akribuna, ila Ahlinaba, abibuna, abibuna. ('We are returning, we are returning, to our family, we repent, we repent.') - Sahih Muslim 1342
