The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'When a person sets out from his house and says: Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah), it is said to him: You are guided, defended and your need is satisfied. The devil will stand away from him and say: How can you get to a man whom he has been guided, defended and satisfied?' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5095). This hadith clearly shows that by saying this, angels will guide and defend you, and your needs will be met, keeping shaytan far away.
