بِسْمِ اللَّهِ ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ ، وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ

In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.

Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah

When to Read

This powerful dua is recited just before you embark on a journey, specifically when you are about to start your vehicle. It's the perfect moment to seek Allah's protection and guidance for the trip ahead.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction as you settle into your car, just before you start the engine or begin to move. It's a declaration of dependence on Allah, acknowledging that all strength and power come from Him. Imagine each word as a shield, enveloping you and your vehicle in divine care.

Virtues & Benefits

Reciting this dua ensures that you are protected from all harm during your journey. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'When a person sets out from his house and says: Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah), it is said to him: You are guided, defended and your need is satisfied. The devil will stand away from him and say: How can you get to a man whom he has been guided, defended and satisfied?' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5095). This hadith clearly shows that by saying this, angels will guide and defend you, and your needs will be met, keeping shaytan far away.
