O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and what they have overshadowed, Lord of the seven earths and what they hold, Lord of the devils and what they have misled, Lord of the winds and what they have scattered, I ask You for the good of this town and the good of its people, and the good of whatever is within it. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this town and the evil of its people, and the evil of whatever is within it.

Allahumma Rabba as-samawati as-sab'i wa ma azallat, wa Rabba al-aradeena as-sab'i wa ma aqallat, wa Rabba ash-shayateeni wa ma adallat, wa Rabba ar-riyah wa ma dharat, as'aluka khaira hadhihil-qaryati wa khaira ahliha, wa khaira ma fiha, wa a'udhu bika min sharri hadhihil-qaryati wa sharri ahliha, wa sharri ma fiha.

Source & Authentication

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As: That the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "When you see a town to which you come, and you want to enter it, say: 'Allahumma Rabba as-samawati as-sab'i wa ma azallat, wa Rabba al-aradeena as-sab'i wa ma aqallat, wa Rabba ash-shayateeni wa ma adallat, wa Rabba ar-riyah wa ma dharat, as'aluka khaira hadhihil-qaryati wa khaira ahliha, wa khaira ma fiha, wa a'udhu bika min sharri hadhihil-qaryati wa sharri ahliha, wa sharri ma fiha.' (O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and what they have overshadowed, Lord of the seven earths and what they hold, Lord of the devils and what they have misled, Lord of the winds and what they have scattered, I ask You for the good of this town and the good of its people, and the good of whatever is within it. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this town and the evil of its people, and the evil of whatever is within it.) For if you say that, then you have entered it with goodness and the evil that is in it is kept away from you, and if you say it when you leave it, then it is kept away from you."
