In the name of Allah, I embark upon this journey with Allah, and in Him I place my trust. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of travel, the sorrow of [seeing] unpleasant sights, and from the evil of my return in respect of my wealth and my family.
Bismillahi tawallaju billah, wa 'alayhi tawakkaltu. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min wa'tha'is-safari, wa ka'abatil-manzari, wa su'il-munqalabi fil-mali wal-ahl.

Virtues & Benefits
This supplication encapsulates a profound reliance on Allah (tawakkul) for protection during travel. It seeks refuge from: 1. **Wa'tha'is-safari (hardships of travel):** This includes physical exhaustion, difficulties with transportation, challenging weather, and any other physical or logistical obstacles. 2. **Ka'abatil-manzar (sorrow of unpleasant sights):** This refers to witnessing anything distressing or disheartening during the journey, whether it's accidents, unfortunate events, or simply uninspiring landscapes. 3. **Su'il-munqalabi fil-mali wal-ahl (evil of return concerning wealth and family):** This is a crucial aspect, asking for protection for what one leaves behind – their family's well-being and the security of their wealth – and ensuring a safe and positive return to them.
